Hi! My name is Josh. I am an Arizona native but have lived in Hawaii, Las Vegas, Delaware, and D.C. My fitness journey has been ongoing for many years. I was a collegiate athlete and spent much of my youth on the soccer field. Like many, after college, my physical fitness was limited to the occasional pick-up game with friends and recreational leagues of whatever sport. I even dabbled in kickball for a time (I was really good). But let’s face it I was out of shape and my body could feel it. At one point I was living back East binge watching American Ninja Warrior for hours at a time after work and thought to myself…I should really try and get back into shape. I had tried the gym, running and other solo endeavors but nothing really stuck for me. I had heard about CrossFit but was nervous because everyone I spoke to seemed pretty fanatical and couldn’t stop talking about it. But whatever, I decided to try it out. I looked up a couple of gyms and found one I liked and have never looked back. CrossFit and it’s methodology has literally helped me get into the best shape of my life and that is what I want for others. It isn’t about being the best in comparison to others, it is about being the best that I can be.
As a coach, I am passionate about helping people reach their fitness goals. I believe that everyone is on their own personal journey and wherever I can help someone be a little better, makes me happy. Whether it be the simplest of tasks or a difficult lift I strive to help each athlete to get to their next level.
When I am not at the gym I am spending time with my family, watching the Suns, Cardinals or Phoenix Rising, hanging with my fiancé, Megan, and our little dog Bella Bean.
