I’m Becky, I’ve been married to the man of my dreams for 20 years, Todd. I’m a mom to five amazing children! When younger, I was always active and playing every sport I could get my hands on, (soccer, basketball, softball, football with my brothers, dabbled in gymnastics, etc). Marriage and five kids later I found myself happy with life but physically discouraged. After a major health scare, I was searching for something to get back in shape.
I got into CrossFit through a boot camp and really had no idea what CrossFit was or what I was getting into. Long story short, I got hooked, quick! I fell in love with the way I felt when I was at the “box”, and having a barbell in my hands. I loved the community of CrossFit and how it made everyone feel like they were included and part of the team. CrossFit has not only helped me to become physically strong, but mentally strong as well. I feel like I can do hard things no matter the trial.
Coaching brings a fulfillment that I had never experienced outside of potty training my own children or watching them succeed in life. I love coaching all levels of athletes from the kids that are so excited to be doing what their parents do, the newbies who are both nervous and excited, to the CrossFitter who gets a new cue in a lift and you see the light bulb go off in their head and they finally get it. I am a firm believer in setting goals and working towards them; and that what you put into something is what you will get out of it.
CrossFit has brought so many awesome people into my life. I truly believe that CrossFit can help people both physically and mentally. Every day that you go to the gym, you will walk out feeling stronger and more confident in yourself than you did walking in. CrossFit doesn’t only make you more fit, it makes you a better person all around! When I’m not at the gym, you can find me trying to be the best mom/wife, hanging with friends, getting a pedicure or massage, watching a little Grey’s Anatomy or Crime TV, or taking a nap!
